Ristorante Il Pagliaccio is a small and elegant restaurant, in the historic centre of Rome, owned by Michelin-starred chef Anthony Genovese and acclaimed pastry chef and partner Marion Lichtle.
Originally born in France, Genovese started his career on the Cote D’Azur, but it was after extensive travelling through Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and his parent’s native Italy, that his talent really matured.
His love affair with SE Asia and the Pacific Rim saw Genovese return to Italy to fuse Mediterranean flavours with Asian influences.
Marion Lichtle is considered the pastry-queen of Italy.
Born in the Alsace, Marion lived in London for many years before moving to Rome with Genovese.
It was in London that she honed her skills and mastered her craft in Patisserie in the prestigious kitchens of Mosimann, Chez Bruce and the Glasshouse.
Together Anthony and Marion combine their knowledge, skills and passion in a remarkable menu that extends the boundaries of flavour and takes each guest beyond expectation.
