Born in 1970, Chef Ernesto Iaccarino’s earliest influences were with the family restaurant “Don Alfonso 1890” in Sant’Agata between the gulfs of Naples and Salerno.
Although he left the family business initially after gaining a degree in Economics to work in Milan, Iaccarino returned to Sant’Agata in 1999 to indulge his real passion for cuisine and to help the family with the running of the restaurant.
The kitchen is where Iaccarino – the talented son of the original Don Alfonso - has found the perfect platform to showcase his craft.
Quality ingredients, attention to seasonality and Mediterranean style are now his signatures. Although he has created a myriad of dishes, he has never lost sight of the Neapolitan traditions.
Father and son Chefs Alfonso and Ernesto Iaccarino have created a two-star Michelin sanctuary of fine dining, located on a working farm with newly opened 5-room accommodation.
