Andrea Berton is Chef/Director of Il Ristorante Trussardi Alla Scala and Café Trussardi in Milan, one of the most important Italian fashion & design industry.
He has received international acclaim for his cuisine, which is based on contemporary seasonal Italian dishes. He focuses on modern cooking methods, which extract maximum flavour, ensuring his food remains light and clean on the palate.
In 2008 it was awarded its first Michelin star and a second Michelin star quickly followed in 2009 – an achievement only previously attained by Chef Gualtiero Marchesi in 1977 and 1978.
Previously Berton has gained experience in some of Europe’s finest kitchens including Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, Louis XV in Montecarlo (with Alain Ducasse) and Gualtiero Marchesi’s Via Bonvesin della Riva in Milan.
