Every day, Consorzio per la Tutela del Formaggio Grana Padano inspects and oversees the entire process, from milk production to the end-consumer, in order to ensure compliance with a set of age-old regulations so that a first-class cheese reaches tables throughout the world. Consorzio per la Tutela del Formaggio Grana Padano promotes its product with due respect; as a result its success continues to grow world-wide. S.Pellegrino, Acqua Panna and Sanpellegrino Sparkling Fruit Beverages are international trademarks of Sanpellegrino S.p.A. which is based in Milan, Italy. Distributed in over 120 countries through branches and distributors in all five continents, these products represent quality excellence by virtue of their origins and perfectly interpret Italian style worldwide as a synthesis of pleasure, health and well-being. Founded in 1899, Sanpellegrino S.p.A. is the leading company in the beverage sector in Italy with its range of mineral waters, non-alcoholic aperitifs, drinks and iced teas. As a major Italian producer of mineral water, it has always been committed to enhancing this primary good for the planet and works responsibly and passionately to ensure that this resource has a secure future. Birra Moretti is a quality beer made in the traditional way. It is the result of a production process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. The best raw materials are used to make Birra Moretti, as well as a special blend of high quality hops that gives it a unique taste and fragrance, enhancing its perfectly balanced bitter taste. The first bottle of Birra Moretti was sold in the summer of 1860. Even if it looked a little different from today’s bottles, the quality of the product has certainly remained the same. The machinery used then was extremely advanced for its time, just as that used today is also at the cutting edge. From the 1990s on, Birra Moretti went from being a Friuli-based beer to a nationally-distributed beer, constantly growing and conquering new fans and admirers. After 150 years of existence, Birra Moretti has crossed national frontiers. Today Birra Moretti is exported to over 40 countries around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Japan and has won important international awards. In 2006 Birra Moretti was the only Italian brand to have been awarded both gold and silver medals at the World Beer Cup, the most important international competition in the industry. At the same time, it was awarded 5 other medals at the Australian International Beer Awards – a high level competition in the southern hemisphere – something which confirms the high quality of Birra Moretti beer. For the Birra Moretti group, these awards are certainly triumphs, especially as it is the only Italian beer to have come out on top in categories. |

And then are the other two main sponsors |

Today, Lavazza is one of the most important roasters in the world, a leader in Italy with a 47,6% share of the retail market and it operates in over 90 countries, in the Home and Away-from-Home sectors (Foodservice, Vending and Coffee Shop Business). The history of Lavazza starts with the small grocery store opened by Luigi Lavazza back in 1895, in the historic district of Turin. The small shop specialized in roasting and selling coffee, and in 1927 it became what is now known as Luigi Lavazza S.p.A. Lavazza’s history is the story of a successful company, but it is also the tale of a family that has worked passionately for four generations, striving to combine quality, tradition and originality. Since its establishment in 1922 Scholtès took on an experimentation journey, giving life to a company which was to trace a new concept of the kitchen and revolutionise domestic lifestyle. Over the years it became a by-word for technological innovation, professionalism and avant-garde design. Today, with its team of chefs, engineers and designers, Scholtès continues to offer innovative solutions, patenting new functions that can automatically regulate cooking parameters with extreme precision. Fine materials, made-to-measure solutions and products, artisan manufacturing and avant-garde technology: all this is the excellence of Scholtès. For the first time on the stage of Identita London Scholtès will show its mission : to find inspiration in the professional environment and to apply it to the household universe, taking the same food processing and cooking systems used by professional chefs to guarantee simplicity of use and spectacular performances. |

Also Slow Food will be in Vinopolis with 12 Presidia |
||
The participation of Slow Food Italia at Identita London is part of a wider project of collaboration between Slow Food Italia, Buonitalia SpA and the Italian Regional Agricultural Departments. The close cooperation between these partners underlines the common objective to familiarise international consumers with the depth and diversity of Italian cuisine, an effort that will be stepped up at the International Salone del Gusto in Turin, Italy on 21-25 October 2010.The main protagonists of the two days in London will be 12 Slow Food Presidia products from Piedmont, Apulia, Sardinia and Veneto. These products, at the risk of extinction, are protected by the Slow Food Presidia initiatives. The participation of Slow Food Italia at the Identità Golose international chef conventions, in London and in Milan, is therefore simply a logical consequence. The great chefs of today dictate trends and stimulate interest and appreciation. They thus have an important responsibility for the protection and safeguarding of small local productions. Friuli Venezia Giulia is back to Identità London |
||
Friuli Venezia Giulia is back to Identità London after the successful esperience in 2009. The Italian Alps and the Adriatic symbolize the two extremes of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s multi-faceted and changing landscape where Italian, Slavic and Germanic cultures meet in a melting pot of traditions, languages and religions. The region is located in the North-eastern Italy and it borders Austria to North, Slovenia to the East, the Adriatic to the South and the Veneto region to the West.Deep in the heart of Europe yet open to the Adriatic, Friuli Venezia Giulia’s strategic position has made it the center of both great conflicts and some of the most significant moments in history. Criss-crossed by flavour-filled trails winding from the mountains to the sea, Friuli Venezia Giulia is a bountiful land for foodies and wine enthusiasts. Perhaps best known for Prosciutto di San Daniele and Montasio Cheese, one shouldn’t forget distinctive grappas, honey and delicious dairy products as formadi frant, Asìno or smoked Malga Ricotta. And what better way to accompany the diverse cuisine of Friuli Venezia Giulia than a signature white wine like Friulano, a red like Refosco dal peduncolo rosso or a sweet wine like Ramandolo. |
